Theatre Minor

I. Minor Program Requirements

Twenty-one semester credits including:

Three practicum credits from either of the following:

Three additional Fine Arts credits (3 credits)

Plus three (3) additional credit hours of elective courses in Fine Arts (art, music, or theatre)

Notes:

  • No class may meet more than one requirement even if it is listed in two categories
  • A student must receive at least a C- in a class for it to count towards the minor
  • 6 of the 21 required credits must be upper division THT courses (300-400 level)
  • Theatre minors must be involved in some capacity in at least two Carroll productions per year
  • Theatre minors are required to attend 50% of all department activities including workshops and showcase performances
  • A maximum of six (6) credit hours in Theatre Practicum, Applied Music, and Music ensembles may be applied toward the Theatre minor
  • Credits earned for this minor will not count towards a separate Fine Arts minor
