TESL 391 TESOL: Methods/Appl: Listening/Spkg(GD)

In this course, students will gain a greater understanding of the theory and practice of teaching listening and speaking to non-native English speakers. Students will learn about past and current teaching methods, become familiar with current research in the field and learn how to create original teaching materials for the ESL/EFL classroom.

TESL 392 TESOL:Meth/Applic:Reading/Writing WI GD

In this course, students will gain a greater understanding of the theory and practice of teaching reading, writing and grammar to non-native English speakers. Students will learn about past and current teaching methods, become familiar with current research in the field and learn how to create original teaching materials for the ESL/EFL classroom.

TESL 394 Methods of Teaching ESL/EFL (WI)

In this course students will gain a greater understanding of the theory and practice of teaching English to non-native English speakers either in an EFL or ESL setting. Students will study second language acquisition along with theories about current foreign language teaching methods and techniques in teaching listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar with an emphasis on teaching the English language. Stu-dents will learn how to design effective and creative materials to put theory into practice.
