Major Track Requirements
Communication Studies majors will complete one of two available tracks, as follows:
Track I: Interpersonal Communication (21 credits)
Students selecting the Interpersonal Communication track who declare a minor in Public Relations and Social Media must select courses not required for the Interpersonal Communication track.

Notes:
- A maximum of 6 credit hours in forensics at the 200-level or above may apply toward the communication studies major.
- Forensics at 200-level or above may be substituted for CO 225.
- All degree students should review requirements for graduation as described in this catalog.
The Department of Communication Studies will administer a two-part comprehensive exam at the end of each student’s senior year. The first part, an oral presentation by the student, is required of all students. The second part, the comprehensive on all communication coursework, is not required of students who complete CO 499, Senior Thesis.
