Fifty (50) semester credits, including:
Major Program Requirements
Theatre majors complete all required courses and then must select one concentration: Performance or Technical.
Required Theatre Courses (19 credits):
Plus two credits of the following:
Performance Concentration (31 credits):
Required Performance Courses - complete all 16 credits:
Production Courses - select 6 credits
Other Courses - select 9 credits:
ENLT 215 and ENLT 216 sections with a topic of Shakespeare may be used.
Up to 6 credits from the MUS or ART subject designation may also be used.
Technical Theatre Concentration (31 credits):
Required Technical Courses - complete all 10 credits:
Plus four credits of the following:

Production Courses - select 18 credits
Other Courses - select 3 credits:
ENLT 215 and ENLT 216 sections with a topic of Shakespeare may be used.
Any 3 additional credits from the THT, MUS, or ART subject designation may also be used.
Note:
- A student must receive at least a “C-” in a class for it to count toward the theatre major.
- Theatre majors must be involved in some capacity in every Carroll production unless excused because of other theatre commitment.
- Theatre majors are required to attend 75% of all department activities including workshops and showcase performances.
- Students may declare both concentrations for a total of 81 credits; however no course may count toward both concentrations.
