French Education (K-12) Minor
The French Education (K-12) minor prepares students to teach French courses at all school grades level. The program focuses on the content of the French discipline, as well as, the pedagogical skills necessary for teaching in a school classroom. In order to teach with a minor, students must also have an Education major in another area.

I. Program Requirements
Fifteen (15) semester credits* in French, including:
Required French Courses:
Students must successfully complete at least one of the following courses:

*Note: Students coming in with transfer credits in French earned prior to attendance at Carroll may not count these credits towards their French minor, except by approval of the Program director.
II. Other Program Requirements

III. Teacher Licensure
To obtain teacher licensure in French K-12, a student must complete:
ED 408 | Student Teaching in the Minor Area | 5 |

ED 410 | Student Teaching | 12 |
IV. Acceptance into the Teacher Education Program and Student Teaching
Students pursuing a major in any Teacher Education Program must be accepted to the program. See Acceptance into the Teacher Education Program for specific details.

Note:
- All French education (K-12) students must meet the following requirements: 1) earn a grade of “C-” or better in all Professional Education Requirements, Minor Program Requirements, and Other Program Requirements; 2) earn a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average; 3) earn a minimum 2.65 grade point average in Minor Program Requirements and in Other Program Requirements; and 4) earn a minimum 2.65 grade point average in Professional Education Requirements.
