ANZ 342 Equine Facilities Management 2

This course is the second semester of the two semester Anthrozoology CORE Practicum Sed Vitae experience. This second semester fulfills the Sed Vitae requirement. This course will continue to teach students all aspects required to manage an equine facility coupled with hands-on experience. Topics include the business aspects of running a horse facility, including contracts and records, budgeting, insurance, employees, taxes, advertising, client relationships and the development of a professional attitude will also be taught. Students will help manage the day to day activities at the Carroll College Equine Center, help with ideas on running a smooth operation and help supervise tasks. This course will culminate with students creating a business plan/proposal final project to show that they know how to set up and run a successful equine business.
