PHYS 202 Physics II:Thermody/Elec/Mag/Opt/ModPhy
Physics II: Thermodynamics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, and Modern Physics. A continuation of
PHYS 201. Topics include thermal physics, electrical and magnetic phenomena, simple electrical circuits, optics, and quantum physics. Three hours lecture and one two-hour laboratory per week. NOTE: Students must separately enroll in a laboratory section (
PHYS 202L) to be fully registered for
PHYS 202.
Prerequisite
Students must pass Physics 201 with a grade of "C-" or better to enroll in
PHYS 202. Students who have successfully completed
PHYS 206 cannot take
PHYS 202.
Corequisite
Students must separately enroll in a laboratory section (PHYS 202L) concurrently to be fully registered for PHYS 202.
