Obscene and Harassing Communication
A student who receives any electronic, phone, verbal, or social media communication of a questionable nature should follow these guidelines:
- Don’t talk to nuisance callers/messengers; they are looking for an audience.
- Hang up if the caller does not say anything, does not give an identity, or uses improper language.
- Report threatening communication immediately to the Director of Campus Safety and Security, the Dean of Students, and/or call the police.
- New equipment and procedures, which help the college identify the calling source, have been installed for the protection of all community members. In order for the system to work, however, problem incidents must be reported to the Director of Campus Safety and Security, and/or the Dean of Students.
