Spanish Education (K-12) Minor
The Spanish Education (K-12) minor prepares students to teach Spanish courses at all school grades level. The program focuses on the content of the Spanish discipline, as well as, the pedagogical skills necessary for teaching in a school classroom. In order to teach with a minor, students must also have an Education major in another area.

Study Abroad: In addition to the required courses listed above, completion of a study abroad experience in a Spanish speaking country is strongly encouraged.
III. Teacher Licensure
To obtain teacher licensure in Spanish K-12, a student must complete:

IV. Acceptance into the Teacher Education Program and Student Teaching
Students pursuing a major in any Teacher Education Program must be accepted to the program. See Acceptance into the Teacher Education Program for specific details.

Note:
- All Spanish (K-12) students must meet the following requirements: 1) earn a grade of “C-” or better in all Professional Education Requirements, Minor Program Requirements, and Other Program Requirements; 2) earn a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average; 3) earn a minimum 2.65 grade point average in Minor Program Requirements and in Other Program Requirements; 4) earn a minimum 2.65 grade point average in Professional Education Requirements.
