Ethical Reasoning. Faith and Reason Theology. This course explores the intersections between slavery and Christian theology in the historical contexts of the ancient Roman Empire and the United States. The course starts from the presupposition that slavery is a moral evil. Students will read biblical and historical texts from Christians who support slavery and Christians who oppose slavery.
