Pre-Accelerated Nursing Pathway

LAUREN SWANT, MSN, RNC-NIC, CNE, NURSING PROGRAM DIRECTOR & DEPT CHAIR

The 15-month accelerated nursing track at Carroll College is designed for those who have earned a baccalaureate or higher degree in a non-nursing field. Students in this track build on their previous degree(s) to achieve a second bachelor’s degree that would enable them to become a Registered Nurse. Applicants to the accelerated nursing track must have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university prior to their enrollment in the program.

The Pre-Accelerated Nursing Pathway helps Carroll undergraduate students pursuing majors in other subjects academically prepare themselves to apply to the accelerated nursing track after graduating with their bachelor’s degree in another field. Employer demand for nurses continues to rise, and Carroll is pleased to offer several different paths toward this fulfilling career. More information about the College's accelerated nursing track is available at: https://www.carroll.edu/nursing/accelerated-nursing.

Please note that completion of the Pre-Accelerated Nursing Pathway does not guarantee admission to the accelerated nursing track at Carroll College, nor does it assure that all graduate/professional admission prerequisites have been met for accelerated nursing programs at other institutions. Carroll students pursuing this pathway need to work closely with the appropriate pre-professional advisor, as well as the admission office(s) of all prospective graduate/professional programs.
