Security Lockdown of Campus Buildings
There are times when, due to safety concerns, the Helena Police Department requests that all buildings on the Carroll College campus be locked. Typically, this request is made if the Helena Police Department has reason to believe that the Carroll College community is in jeopardy, for example, when a suspected dangerous criminal or shooter is thought to be in the vicinity of campus. A security lockdown may also be initiated by the college. If you are in a campus building when a lockdown is initiated, remain in the building. Students may be directed to stay away from windows and entrances to the building. Do not open exterior doors to unknown persons. Stay in the building until it is declared safe by emergency services or college staff. Updates will be posted on the college’s web site and through emergency messaging to emergency contact phone numbers.
